The first should be summarized (as you did below it) in the description. The second is a great sample excerpt.

Yes, if you think the fans will buy the book for specific content, teasing that in the summary makes sense.

"Those fans, who own a kindle, will be stoked that there are novels in which the Vikings under Bud Grant play a significant role."

Then in your summary, you can hint at that specific item: "as Ike continues to figure out his path, he encounters Vikings' coach Bud Grant, among others" (example)

Those who would care will get the reference and be hyped for it, and those who won't will not mind the mention.
